Local Fremont culture thrives. Every year on the weekend before the Summer Solstice, Fremont hosts a summer fair. The fair draws thousands of visitors, and on Saturday traffic is redirected for the Solstice Parade. Throngs crowd the sidewalk as hundreds of naked bicyclists pedal down the street. These bicyclists paint elaborate patterns over their bodies, an art form that perfectly encapsulates Fremont’s spirit.
